Hi Guys,
We run Nightly backups to disk from our SQL servers using an application called litespeed, as this doesn't have a central management server (Where it can write everything to the central server then to tape) we decided to install DPM 2012 R2 to accomplish this. I have setup the backups to disk, but how do I go about configuring DPM to take the data that it pulled to disk to then write to tape.
This is the scenario:
Litespeed starts backups at 18:00 PM and writes to a Local SAN drive.
DPM client pulls backups from SQL local drive to central server at 00:00 keeping 14 days worth of copies
Now, as the data now resides on the central server, I would like to write the backups that were pulled during the course of the evening to tape, as this server is not a production server it can be done during the course of the day and have no impact on the SQL servers.
Any idea how I go about doing this?
Thanks
Shaun
