I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue. I have a new DPM 2012 server and a new DELL TL4000 tape library; the library connects to DPM via iSCSI. I had DELL assist me with the iSCSI configuration to make sure all settings were to their recommendations.
The issue is that the DPM 2012 doesn't see the tape library/loader as a unit; DPM sees only four tape drives. Also, there none of the 47 slots are showing either.
Originally, I was using Windows' own drivers, but that was listing an Unknown Medium Changer; with these drivers, DPM showed the four tape drives that the library came with. Then, I loaded DELL drivers, for the changer and the drives, and this now shows a warning, and DPM now doesn't show anything.
I know this library is supported by DPM 2012.
Am I missing something to get DPM to recognize my new tape library? I've included a couple of screenshots to better explain the issue.
